The new Viestra Finishing Plate was originally designed for cable-laying sites in eastern Finland, where machines are really put to the test during finishing work after cable ploughing. The Viestra Finishing Plate has a frame structure designed to last, it is very easy to use and the maintenance solutions have proven themselves functional. The Viestra Finishing Plate offers years of reliable and efficient levelling. The Viestra Finishing Plate is suitable for excavators of between 14 and 26 tons.

No special skills are required to use the Viestra Finishing Plate – a quick introduction to best practices is enough. The Viestra Finishing Plate is virtually maintenance-free, leaving more time for productive work. The only daily maintenance required is to check the attachment of the Finishing Plate – the Viestra Finishing Plate is otherwise maintenance-free.

The durable Viestra Finishing Plate

The Viestra Finishing Plate has a strong frame designed to withstand even the hardest wear and the stresses of shifting rocks aside. It can also withstand the forces imposed by the excavator when the Finishing Plate is used to assist with the excavator’s movement. The base plate is replaceable. We have used Finishing Plates on work sites for more than 1,000 hours of levelling work before needing to replace the shaped base plate.

The Finishing Plate is a carefully considered design

The Finishing Plate model has been built to make the plate easy to press down on the unfinished track. The base plate is replaceable. The excavator’s own mass can press down on the track or site, and the power output by the machine can be used for pulling the Finishing Plate and for levelling. The Finishing Plate can carry soil to places that must be levelled, and it can level out piles of soil. The Finishing Plate can also be turned to the vertical and used to dig ditches. The Finishing Plate is light, and it can be used to reach further away from the machine than with a conventional excavator bucket. The Finishing Plate can be used to level a route when you drive the machine in both directions. This solution means that power is transferred efficiently and less fuel is consumed.
